Rick Wood, D. Min.
“One of my major goals in life is to help churches become healthy and maintain that state. One sign of a healthy church is in the area of understanding and practicing biblical stewardship. Generis provides me an opportunity to help churches gain an understanding of true Lifestyle Stewardship. Churches will be healthier when they come to know and practice the concept of Lifestyle Stewardship and thus better equipped to live out the Great Commission.”
God has given Rick gifts that include administration, leadership and teaching. With this mix, his work with Generis is natural. He has been able to help strengthen churches and challenge them to greater heights in stewardship, leadership and teamwork.
Rick has trained leaders and consulted with churches in numerous cities in the US as well as several islands in the Caribbean, Nicaragua, Ukraine, and France. He has a BS in Bible from Oklahoma Christian University, a Master of Divinity from Harding Graduate School of Religion and a Doctor of Ministry in consulting from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.
Rick has been involved in ministry since 1977. He has served the church as a youth minister, singles minister and pulpit minister. He believes the church should be engaged in evangelism and missions. Thus, he has led at least two mission trips per year for the last several years and has raised several thousand dollars for mission work.
