Gary Ealy
“Many people are good rule keepers. Many of us would like God to make a budget that tells us how much to spend in each area of our lives. Instead, I believe God is leading us to align our heart with His Heart. To adopt a lifestyle that uses God’s resources according to His priorities. When I know God that well, I can and will make good giving decisions. That’s the focus of Lifestyle Stewardship.”
Blessed with the gifts of prophecy, leadership and encouragement, Gary Ealy is skilled at motivating people to persevere towards a common goal. Since becoming a stewardship consultant in 1992, he has helped over 110 churches across the country mount giving responses that average 2.5 times their annual budget. Some of the most successful campaigns—in which 5 times the church’s budget were raised—have blossomed out of initial circumstances that were highly challenging to say the least.
Whether a church is rebounding from a fire, a stressful move or a divided congregation, maintaining unity is all important. Gary not only takes the time to fully understand church history and culture, he excels in guiding congregation members to find common ground. Emphasizing the biblical directive to “submit to one another,” he leads those in favor of a capital goal—and even those opposed—to support one another in seeking God’s will. The result is an atmosphere of spiritual inquiry, growth and renewal, in which individuals freely seek God’s heart without coercion, guilt or friction from their fellow members or consultant.
Gary has over 30 years experience in the preaching ministry. He has also been an active volunteer with Agape Child and Family Services, helping to raise nearly $1 million in support of adoptions and foster care for abused and orphaned children. He has also served at Hope Works, a non-profit that trains the homeless and jobless in the skills needed to secure full-time employment.
