Anita Colley
"The tree whose shade you enjoy, was planted by someone before you. Lifestyle stewardship is centered on growing God’s people for His purpose. We are all stewards of the resources He has given to us. It is preparing an environment, resources, and conditions for future generations to become disciples. In an earthly world focused on return on investment there simply is no greater return than investing in the spiritual lives of others.”
Jesus speaks more about money than any other subject in the New Testament. Not because it is so important to the Kingdom, but perhaps because it can be such a distraction. Connecting people with their inner need to be faithful stewards of all that God has provided is Anita’s goal. It is important that we understand and act on our responsibility to provide for the next generation. Our continued stewardship is a generational investment in the development of future disciples. Everyone needs and wants to be good stewards of the gifts God has given us. Sometimes we need to be reminded and challenged to take an additional step of faith.
Anita has served churches, corporations and the academic arena in the development of intricate long range plans. She works with churches to ensure they are prepared for the future shifts in demographics, generational preferences, and cultural shifts in the next 10 years. No where in our society has the impact of the demographic changes in America been felt as much as it has in faith based institutions. We are under much more scrutiny from non-faith based organizations. She has conducted considerable research on the relationship between faith and the workplace.
Anita graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama with a double major in Statistics and Business Management and a minor in Music. She received an MBA from Auburn University. She has served as Female Executive of the Year, on the Camp Fire Girls Board and worked for over 10 years with Junior Achievement. She also founded a non-profit with her children called, “4 Hearts 4 Kids”.
