John Bash
“My passion in life is to help churches and leaders connect where they want to go and who they want to be with where they are today.”
A self-described “creative, entrepreneurial type,” John Bash has immersed himself in 25 years of dynamic church ministry—as senior pastor, mega church teaching team member and founder of three church plants. John even served in churches on both coasts and in downtown Chicago shortly after interning at a church where he scheduled youth groups around the students’ daily milking of cows.
Today John draws on this diverse history in his current life as a capital stewardship consultant. Customizing campaigns isn’t just a size issue, he believes, but a spiritual and cultural one. What works for one large church just may not fit that smaller congregation down the road. If there’s one constant, however, it’s that something very deep and real and life changing happens when we connect our faith and our wallet. People grasp in a fresh way both the mission of the local church and their own personal mission as stewards of a loving God.
In addition to being a pastor, John has special training as a gift and estate design specialist. He completed his doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary with an emphasis on leadership development, a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, graduate work at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree from Westminster College. He has also served as adjunct professor of Organizational Leadership at Chapman University.
John is the proud father of two teenagers, an avid cook and a golfer who can’t chip. He lives in Irvine, California, but retains a touch of the Pittsburgh accent from his youth.
