Darrell Copeland
“Sometimes people ask me why I do this work with so much energy. The answer is simple. I am called by God to serve the Church through the ministry of stewardship enhancement; so much of my enthusiasm and passion derives from that sense of call. But beyond this, I just love people. So to serve the Church, especially during the defining moments when we are partners together in this work, allows me to work in the “sweet spot” of my greatest joy—to see God’s generosity replicate itself through the generous giving of the Church to advance the Kingdom of God on earth.”
Darrell brings contagious enthusiasm and wise counsel to his work with churches of all sizes and traditions. With over ten years of full-time experience in the ministry of stewardship counsel, Darrell has assisted over 100 congregations to raise in excess of $250 million to fund their vision for ministry. Prior to this chapter of his life work, Darrell served churches with distinction as a senior pastor. Recently, he worked in the religious lending department of a major national bank where he specialized in loans for churches. These twin streams of experience, both pastoral and financial, blend together with Darrell’s interpersonal gifts and passion for ministry, making him an unusually gifted and trusted counselor for churches.
Darrell and his wife, Anita, live in Raleigh, North Carolina. They are the parents of four grown children. When time allows, he enjoys a round of golf.
